My decision to join Tedy's Team has forever changed my life

Liz and I are excited to have you as part of our team!

It is my honor and privilege to continue as a member of Tedy’s Team   This season I will participate in a travel event with the team and will continue my support of this incredible cause by running, fundraising and spreading awareness for the warning signs of stroke and heart disease.

My dear friend, and stroke hero, Liz continues to be my inspiration and partner as we begin this new season. Both Liz and I have learned and grown tremendously since our initial involvement in 2015. Stroke has affected so many close to us; others in our small community, family, friends, and teammates.  Every year the names of my singlet increase as we continue to become aware of families touched by stroke.

Liz has overcome some incredible challenges and disabilities, yet lives her life with a smile…even when things get tough. Liz has become a spokesperson for stroke. She attends conferences, fundraising events and is constantly striving to raise awareness of the warning signs of stroke. Since our involvement with Tedy’s Team Liz has gained confidence, hope, support and knowledge. She is a true stroke hero, survivor and inspiration.

The work of Tedy’s Team is vital to the prevention of stroke and heart disease, as well as support the medical community to help surviors achieve their comeback. They continue to be instrumental in helping find new ways for prevention, treatment and assistance to family and caregivers.

Liz and I hope you’ll join us in our mission! We have been so blessed throughout our entire journey with Tedy's Team and this mission and we are filled with gratitude for all of our contined support.

The mission of Tedy's Team® is to raise awareness for stroke and heart disease while supporting survivors on their journey, giving them a means for a comeback!

Tedy's Team® was originally founded in 2005, when Tedy Bruschi, former linebacker for the New England Patriots suffered a stroke shortly after winning his 3rd Super Bowl and just days after returning from his first Pro Bowl. to learn more about who we are, please see our website, www.tedysteam.org.

We are honored to be part of runDisney Disneyland® race weekend! Back for the first time since 2017! 

All of the events we participate in have allowed us to utilize their platform to elevate the awareness of the warning signs of stroke, which are best remembered by using the acronym BE FAST, which stands for: 

• Balance Difficulties
• Eyesight Changes
• Face Drooping
• Arm Weakness
• Speech Difficulties - and if you notice any of those warning signs, it's...
• TIME TO CALL 9-1-1.
